Privacy

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and carries no advertising or tracking pixels. A visit generates a standard web server log entry and nothing else. If you use the contact form, what you type is sent to the sales team of the out-of-home operator this site works with and stored in that operator's CRM, not on this site.

What is collected

Two things, both a byproduct of serving a web page:

• Server logs. Our origin server records the requested URL, timestamp, HTTP status, user agent and IP address, as web servers do by default. These are used to diagnose faults and detect abuse.
• CDN request handling. Traffic is served through Cloudflare, which processes connection data including IP address in order to route requests, terminate TLS and block attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Contact form submissions. If you send a message, what you type into the form is sent to the operator's CRM, along with the page you came from if you used the "Send the brief" button on an article. See the section below for exactly what happens to it.

What is not collected

• No cookies of any kind, including analytics and preference cookies
• No analytics platform: there is no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no equivalent
• No advertising or conversion pixels, and no remarketing tags
• No database on this site: the contact form passes your message to the operator's CRM and keeps no copy here
• No accounts, so no passwords
• No automatic subscription: sending a message does not subscribe you to anything unless you tick the newsletter box
• No fonts, scripts or images loaded from third-party hosts

If that changes, because an analytics tool is added or a form is introduced, this page will be updated before the change goes live, not after.

Images and external links

Campaign photographs are served from our own infrastructure on this domain. They set no cookies and call no third-party host.

Pages link out to external sources: measurement bodies, industry associations, publishers. Once you follow one of those links, that site's own privacy terms apply. We have no visibility into what happens there.

The contact form

The form posts to this domain, not to a third-party form service. The endpoint runs on Cloudflare, the same infrastructure already serving the page, so your browser makes no request to any other company.

• What is sent: what you type (who you are, name, email address, organisation, location, message, how you found the site, and whether you ticked the newsletter box), the page you came from if you used the "Send the brief" button on an article (the address of that page and nothing else), and the name of this site.
• Where it goes: the endpoint sends it to the sales team of the out-of-home operator this site works with, where it is stored as a record in that operator's CRM (hosted by monday.com). It is not sent by email. Campaign enquiries, corrections and methodology questions all arrive the same way.
• What is stored here: nothing. The only copy kept is the CRM record above. A short-lived counter keyed to your IP address limits repeated submissions to five and expires ten minutes after the last one.
• What it is not used for: no advertising audience, no analytics, no profiling, and no newsletter unless you ticked the box for it. A message sent for a correction is used to make the correction.

There is no CAPTCHA, because every CAPTCHA loads a script from another domain and this site does not do that. Spam is handled with a hidden field and a rate limit instead.

Who publishes this site

Published and edited by Melih Koray. Disclosure: the editor is employed by Firefly, which sells moving-screen and taxi-top media and is ranked in some vendor tables on this site. Archive photographs are from Firefly campaigns. Every link to Firefly is tagged sponsored, and enquiries may be forwarded to the company. Firefly's own rates are never quoted here. Editorial responsibility sits with Melih Koray. Beyond server logs, this site itself holds no personal data: there is no marketing database here and no mailing list of its own. What you send through the form is held in the operator's CRM described above.

Requests

If you want to know whether logs contain requests from your IP address, want them removed, or want a message you sent through the form deleted from the operator's CRM, write to the publisher through the contact form and the request will be passed on. Server logs are retained only as long as they are useful for fault diagnosis and abuse prevention.
